Sidorovo hill rises above the village. 55 houses can be found in the village but only 18 of them are inhabited by 29 people at present. The village of Vlol\u00ednec was added to the List of the World\u2019s Heritage of UNESCO in 1993 as a unique architectural complex. The traditional architecture of mountain and foothill region on the north of middle Slovakia is present on a large part of 797 hectares of the village. Most of the 73 protected buildings are traditional log houses and farmhouses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Some of protected buildings in the Village of Vlkol\u00ednec:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>two floor bell tower from 1770<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>well with a winch from 1860<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>brick baroque-classical church of the Virgin\u2019s visit from 1875<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>museum of traditional housing in the village of Vlkol\u00ednec \u2013 \u201ePeasants house\u201c of the Museum of Liptov<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mows of Vlnol\u00ednec \u2013 farm buildings lying out of the village<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Memorial plaques in Vlkol\u00ednec:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Memorial plaque on house no. 9007 \u2013&nbsp; in remembrance of citizens of the village of Vlkol\u00ednec fallen in 1944 \u2013 \u201eFor our life in freedom fell: Bradiak Ondrej (70), Bradiak \u0160tefan (31), Kaman Vojtech (35), Kendera J\u00e1n (68), Kendera Vojtech (38), Kup\u010do Ondrej (45), Kup\u010dov\u00e1 M\u00e1ria (70).
