The artificially excavated entrance is located on the western slope of Demänovská Poludnica at an altitude of 870 m above sea level. m., about 50 m above the level of Demänovka. It has been open to the public since 1924. Of the total length of 8,897 m (including the Pusta cave), only 1,600 m is open to the public.
